Several months ago I called Auto-torium in Hooksett NH to inquire about buying a new Suzuki car. The told me they have instant approval if I bring in a few required documents. I picked the car out I wanted and was told this was no problem, I would be driving out with my new car in the next hour with $2,000 down, they allready had several approvals. Four hours later they tell me they must have $4,000 down plus $1,000 trade in. I walked out.
Yesterday, I called them to once again inquire about the car I wanted. I spoke to Sophie, who told me that she sees my information on file. She confirmed my Social security number and Date of birth. She asked if my information was still current, and I told her yes. She said with some hesitation, that she doesnt understand why my credit wasnt run a few months ago, but it wasnt. (Red Flag #1, I knew this was a lie). She said she would call me back. About an hour went by, and Sophie calls me back and tells me that she spoke with both the credit manager and the general manager. That if I can be there by 6pm, they can do it with $2,000 down, everything was done and I could pick up the car. (keep in mind this conversation happened at 430pm). I called her back, to confirm which paperwork I needed to bring with me since this is such a long drive for me. I was being rushed and wanted to make sure I didnt forget anything. She once again confirmed the car was being prepped for me to pick up and the paperwork was in progress. I called her back a 3rd time to let her know I had all the paperwork she requested and I was walking out the door. I would be there by 5:30. She said great, she would be waiting and everything will be ready for me.
As I am in the car driving to Auto-torium in Hooksett, I get a call from a salesman named John. Who tells me nothing is done, that I dont have a loan ready! Im in the car on my way. I told him exactly what Sophie told me and he tells me she is in a phone bank and knows nothing at all about sales! I asked him, why would she tell me all of this and rush me into the dealership if nothing is done? He told me he had no idea, but he didnt have time to deal with this, he was busy and to call him at 10am tomorrow morning. I was shocked at his rudeness and when I tried to explain I was on my way, he told me he didnt have time for me and hung up on me.
I then attempted to call the General Manager or the Owner, but by now everyone was gone since they close at 6pm.
