I ordered brakes and rotors from www.allaftermarketparts.com (who is actually the new name for brakeplanet.com with an F rating with the BBB) and expected to receive them within a week or so. 10 days later I called and spoke to Cassie who claimed to be the customer service manager. She told me my parts had to be made and it would be another 2 to 4 weeks. I explained that I couldn't wait that long and I had to cancel the order.
She told me my refund would show up back on my credit card in 1 to 2 days. That never happened so I called back and after much runaround, got cassie. I explained to her I didn't get my refund and she placed me on hold and never came back to the phone. I called back 30 minutes later and she wasn't available! Yea! So eventually after many many calls and being placed on hold and them never coming back to the line or just simply hanging up on me, I finally get Cassie who said they didn't make the refund mistake it was my credit card co!!!
So she said she would do it again and I would see my money in another 1-2 days. Sure enough, no refund! So I call again... Same game... Placed on hold or hung up on to much laughter on their end. I finally get Devon, who appeared to be the one who could help. He apologized and said Cassie would be written up for her behavior and lack of customer service. He assured me he would take care of it personally and call me back in an hour. No call again.
Called him the next day and again got placed on hold or hung up on. After a week of this game, I finaly get Devon who says he acidentally lost my phone number and was hoping I would call back! He now stated that because they had processed refunds wrong they could no longer refund credit cards and now they would be sending me a check. Yet another stall tactic! He stated he would again personally call me in the morning and even give me a tracking number for my check that would be sent overnight FEDX. Of course no phone call was ever made or check received. Bottom line that I found out.
Www.allaftermarketparts.com is simply a new name to hide the terrible F rating and lack of customer service the www.brakeplanet.com was trying to escape. They claim to not be the same company, but with very little research, I found them to be in the same building, same address and even same suite number! AND while attempting to get ahold of Cassie from allaftermarketparts.com and being told she was in a meeting, I decided to call brakeplanet and guess who answered!?!? CASSIE!!!
Stay far far away from these scammers!!! I am now working on a newspaper article as well as a news station story to run in their area to get this scam out to everyone and have filed a complaint with the BBB who has also linked the two companies!!
