Peach Auto Painting - Peach Warehouse - Peach Autopainting
Extremely poor work / Georgia

I went to Peach for an estimate to compare against I had an insurance settlement I had received. They came in originally at $690 for repairI said I wanted a better job and not to straighten out the door and fender but to replace the parts. I was fine with used parts, because I made it clear the car was sound mechanically and I was going to drive the car for years to come.

I was emphatic that I wanted a quality job no matter what the price, they came approximately $700 cheaper than the next lowest estimate. I said if they could not do a professional job I would pay the extra elsewhere. This was repeated at least six times twice in the presence of my wife. When I received my car back after about 9 days, it had dust in the interior so thick I could write, wash me on my seats, carpets and dashboard.

The fender had a dent on it. The door had bondo on it and the crease in the door was not matching. The inside had paint on it in a few areas. There was over spray on areas such as the key wells, windows, and wiper sprayers among other black areas. The surface on the paint was rough. There were drips on the rear bumper. The drivers door didn't shut the way it used to and wasn't the same as the other 3 doors (the doors lock and window no longer works-but it stopped a week after picking up the car so I don't know if it was their workit does seem to point there though) I returned the car and got answers like what dent? Although I repeatedly pointed it out. He denied they used bondoagain-what bondo? What crease in the door? I had a licensed auto body shop that gave me a list of the problems the auto body as well as a licensed detail body persons comments.

After 20 minutes of a person repeating nothing was wrong and that my people who made a list of these comments knew nothing. Being told I could get leather cleaner to remove the interior paint marks and paint thinner to remove some of the misses on the outside. (What shop on earth would do that and not fix it themselves???) I complained to the head office - after 4 calls (8 days) to the main office with messages left live and on voicemail - with no replieson the fifth call I was put into the owner.

He got the person who manages the place on the phone I went and again I gotwhat dent? What mismatch? Then I was told I saved money and could not expect a quality job for the money I paid. After a while of achieving no solutions I mentioned should I take him to court to resolve this? The owner said to do so.

This — no matter what money I saved, is in no way a professional job and not our agreement. It was less than a half-hearted effort to do my car I could have had done by one of my employees in the factory in a garage. I have taken it to 2 other body shops and got estimates to repair their bad paint job (witnesses). I had to get it bluffed and polished to take some of the roughness off the paint for $100.

The two body shops said the job was a disgrace as well as the person that detailed it. They asked if I paid $300? They all said the cost was cheaper for the work done than they would have quoted, but not worth close to the $1500 I'd paid. I MADE IT VERY CLEAR I wanted a good job done. Cost aside this is the issue. If they would have made any effort to repair the shoddy workmanship we may have come to some agreement. My time is valuable as a manager of a steel company.

The trips and the repeated calls without any remorse or liability for their poor work (They did apologize - but not clean - for the horrible dust inside my car when I picked it up that was the only thing they didn't deny) All they continually did was deny, deny, deny, it was like having someone look at a red fire hydrant and say it was blue expecting that if it was said enough times they would convince me it wasn't red.

After repeatedly saying I wanted a good job and that the job being accepted on those terms I am requesting the difference $900 to make the car right at another shop. NOT SAYING AFTER THE FACT we did it cheaper than any one else so that is what you get is not an answer. This was not our agreement in way shape or form when they were given the job.
