I worked for JB Lube for 2 years, dealing with incompetent co workers who wrecked customers vehicles, accidentially got paint all over a vehicle, tore off bumbers and mirrors on customers cars and sometimes didn't show up so we could get into the shop and work.

There were several employess working on vehicles and instead of having ONE mechanic per car, they had several, resulting in confusion.

Sometimes things were overlooked, accidentially, and later when we realized that we had forgotten to change the oil filter, or grease the rear end, we would rectify the situation and all was well.

The company has been going downhill due to employee negligence, office managers and office assistants not showing up for work to let the mechanics in, and quite simply, incompetence.

I have worked with them for 23 months and they came up with a lame excuse to *let me go* right before my vacation rolled around, they tried to get me to sign a paper saying that I *deliberately* did not change an oil filter on 2 cars, and didn't grease the rear end of a vehicle, and tightened an oil filter too tight with company approved tools.

These mistakes were rectified before the vehicle left the shop, it's called Quality Control, and everyone makes simple mistakes, these small mishaps were over a period of 2 years! (23 months actually)

But such is life, I kept my mouth shut and my opinions to myself for that whole time, watching around 25 employees come and go during that time. There were weeks that we had 3 new employees in as many days.

JB's would allow new hires to drive cars/trucks/vans/box trucks and one was a huge delivery truck and the new hire wrecked it into another customers car, a second was a customers car that got derailed and driven into a pit 6 feet deep.

We were never allowed our lunch break of 30 minutes, although we were never paid for it. Of course when one has a job, one doesn't make waves and is grateful to be able to pay their bills, and what is 30 minutes a day compared to zero wages?

If you get your vehicle serviced, make sure you watch them while they work, and make sure your car isn't damaged when you get it back!
