I bought a brand new 2007 jeep liberty from Rocky Williams dealership in July. I had problems with 2 of my windows recently and called Rocky Williams Automotive, the dealership where i bought my jeep, to make an appointment to have them fixed. My drivers side window was coming off track when I rolled it up and my back passenger window just fell and would not roll up. The service department guy needed very little information when I was asked what problem I was having after I told him it was my windows. He seemed to know exactly what my problem was before I described anything to him and in fact told me he was almost postive it was my window regulator. I took it to the dealership to have the problem fixed. It was still under warranty so it cost me nothing. I was told it was the window regulator on my back passenger side and that my driver side window just needed to be lubed. I explained to them that I rarely even roll my back windows down much and I found it odd that my windows were having problems so early after buying it. It was suggested to me that I needed to lube all my windows with silicone spray to help prevent them from sticking or coming off track in the future. It seemed like they were trying to forwarn me of or help me prevent any future window problems. First off, If a person buys a brand new vehicle it should not have this issue with the windows and I should not have to spray them with silicone spray to prevent the from coming off track with normal use. It has been 3 months since having my windows fixed and I am again having the same issue with my windows. This time it is the opposite back window and the driver side window is still coming off track like they were supposed to fix before. I am very upset and decided to do a little research online. I found too may complaints to count about window regulator problems in the jeep liberty. These complaints go back way before I ever bought my 07 model, yet when I puchased my jeep from Rocky Williams and asked the sales guy if jeep libertys had any defaults or issues I should be alarmed about these window problems never came up. I was told the jeep liberty was one of the most dependable cars I could own. I feel I was lied to and now judging from all the complaints I read from others It looks like I will be stuck paying out my ass for continuous window repairs for as long as I own my jeep. Now I understand how the service department guy knew what was wrong with my windows before I explained in ieatail to him. He knew because they have fixed the same thing in other jeep libertys before. My warranty is almost expired and I will be stuck with a vehicle that has defective windows. I can't understand why the jeep liberty has not been recalled with so many others complaining about the exact same thing. I intend to start a petition and get as many complaints togther as I can and submit them to DaimlerChrysler Motors Company LLC and hopefully get the jeep liberty recalled and this problem fixed for good. As far as Rocky Williams Premiere Auto goes I will never buy another vehicle from them and feel they lied to me and sold me a vehicle model they knew had problems and sold it to me anyway just to make a buck. I asked them before we bought our jeep plainly if that model had any defects and they lied to my face! Yes I should have done my research on jeep libertys before my purchase, but I was not even considering a jeep and had no idea anything about it. We also had no intention of making a purchase the day we ended up buying our jeep. We were simply looking and was pressured into the sale. We now see we were pressured into buying a vehicle that has defective windows and thats a dirty way to do business. I feel that if my Jeep liberty is not recalled by DaimlerChrysler Motors Company LLC, then Rocky Willimams should at least agree in writing to fix my window problems for as long as I own my jeep since they knowingly knew about this issue when it was sold to me. I also feel they should do their part in getting this vehicle model recalled since they are selling them to clueless consumers and not telling them about these problems. What a slimy way to do business.
