On June 4th (Thursday)@ 8:30 brought car into to Jose @ Pepboys location indicated above, 4301 Lake Worth Road, Lake Worth, Fl. 33461. Stated that the repair would have to go for following day, Friday the 5th of June. Jose gave us a bill statement of $353.00- then changed amount as he said drum & stem would cost more, the original stem from auto parts store would cost $27.00 & the drum would be $80.00 so the bill now would run $500 - 600.00 dollars more, but would now give a 10% discount instead of the original discount from $379.00 to $353.00 which is 20% for the Company would/will not allow him now to make the discount I then asked how could you not now but could earlier which then Jose said I can do only the 10% & will make notation for Mike the manager in the morning (6/5) to order parts for 2006 Nissan Sentry, & for me, to call @ 8:00am the time the doors open to make sure he (Mike) has seen notation of ordering part/s. On Friday the 5th @ 8:35am called & spoke to Mike which he assured me that when his parts guy, David comes in he will order parts & call either myself or my son to let us know the estimated time to pick up car as car would be ready today (5th of June) Mike took phone # of both of us. My son who's car they're working on called @ 12:00pm spoke with Mike who assured him everything's going according to plan & will get back with him. Not hearing from Mike or David, I called @ 5:30pm to let Pepboys, David/Mike know that we were on our way. David said parts just arrived & will have the mechanic work on it after he's completed the alignment he's on I stated from this morning to now the parts has just arrived and you had all day to handle the matter. David's words; THE PARTS JUST CAME IN, NOTHING I CAN DO LADY! I was dumbfounded for he was rude and not concerned for the inconvenience he's caused or causing and said how long will it be now? & David said; in 45minutes he should be done with the alignment & will start on the car. I hung up. @6:00pm I called back & got Mike to see how far alone & was abruptly told by Mike that a problem has now accrued, that the wrong parts were delivered and that it will now be Tuesday the 9th before we can get car. I asked why would you wait so late when we spoke this morning and you stated that @ 9:00 your guy would be in & would order parts have parts in before noon and car would be ready that evening. Mike stated that I did not check the shipment that David did and I then spoke to David and he stated He assumed the mechanical had check but by 6:45pm notice the err. It's now 7:45pm an after a round of back and far with David he gave me the number to the dealer in Royal Palm Beach to call and they were closed then Nick the assistant manger under Mike stated that Nissan would not talk to me as I was they're customer and he admitted to the wrong of Jose, David & Mike and stated that I should be filing a complaint on them and I said to Nick, that's what I'm trying to do but David is handing it over to Nissan the dealer, as if it's they're fault as he did everything that he could which he did not according to Nick because he did not follow thru with Nissan by mid afternoon. I also asked David with the inconvenience that they were causing could my son have a loaner car & he abruptly stated; NO! Nick was more on the calming side and asked David if he's called other dealers or Auto stores David said, NO I do not. Now the auto stores are closed but NAPA and Nick claimed to have called them but what my son and I saw was Nick & David taking care of several customers then David leaving for the night looking over @ me an stated: I HOPE EVERYTHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU ALL! My son then got up from his seat in the lobby & tried to ask David what's going on are you leaving? What about the car? David left with out answering he then looked over @ Nick behind the counter Nick continue with a female customer & male customer about tires and went out in bay area & came back and my son again asked what's up with the car? Then Nick responded by saying I just got off the phone with NAPA and they do not have part; I tried Miami auto parts and they can get it now for Wednesday the 10th not Tuesday the 9th (go figure this). He then got together with two other mechanic's & said let me see exactly what's going on & went out to the bay area and my son & I followed. I asked David why you all did not follow up on this earlier & he stated that he's not sure why David did not follow thru that he's just getting wind of this because he came in @ 12:00 noon, he's in the middle. I said; in my office I have to make sure I follow thru with a customers order. He stated that he's in the middle and was very apologetic as to what Mike & David had done also stated that Jose should have done more last night as well and that he will make sure I am compensated for the problem they have cause with more of a discount than what was stated earlier but has not yet given me the amount. What will the amount be now, I wonder: Now Nick is going to see if he can get parts from a JUNK YARD!!! I now HAVE a mechanic shop that has the audacity to tell me that he will call first thing Saturday morning (6/6/09) to see if the JUNK YARD has the part / parts for the car! So now with the FULL KIT... The DRUM and the JUNK YARD PART my bill for REAR BRAKES will be, & I quote from David earlier, $630. Some odd dollars. NO way... With only the 10% discount... No no no no no... I feel as thought We, my son & I are getting the round around from a company that's trying to make a profit off someone they seem to think do not know any better. I;ve decide to take this to the news channel, Better Business Bureau & the Fraud department. I know that the economy is in a bad way, but my son & I will not make up the difference. I will not pay for a part or parts that's coming from a JUNK YARD. I will not settle for this and will seek further actions for damages for the inconvenience they, PEPBOYS have cause for my son & me..
