I recently bought a used car from Michael's auto sales in hollywood, florida. After 2 weeks the car started rattling from the engine area. I brought the car to my mechanic. He said the car was involved in a major accident. (not shown on the carfax, meaning it wasn't reported to the police) My mechanic informed me that the vehicles spedometer was rolled back about 15,000.00 miles.
I contacted the used car dealership and they said that it is not true. That the car was in perfect condition when it was sold to me. I went to the dealership and took a walk around the other vehicles.in the back of the dealership there were about 5-7 vehicles that were dented up. These vehicles were involved in accidents. I then figured out for myself that they repair the damaged vehicles and sell them without notifying the buyer of previous accidents.
I am taking the time to write this because I dont want this to happen to anyone else. It is not fair. I have contacted an attorney and he is giving me possible options of how to handle this situation.
