The transaction occurred at the salesperson's home (8760 Taft Street, Hollywood, FL 33024), not at his office.
The asked price for the car was $2450, and I made him an offer at $2000 that he immediately accepted. Then, he told me that I had to pay $600 for some weird tax fees (and he cut the final registration, like this I could not see the real fees). I gave him $2200 cash and I asked him several times for the receipt and he gave me one for $1424.94. And he said, it was just the way it is! After that, I had to pay him $400 more in hard cash like he said...
Then, I drove the car and I directly noticed that the mileage did not move, that the odometer was broken. I immediately called him and he denied. That is not true because he drove the car. The first I saw the car, it was at his office and the second time at his home. And furthermore, he is a professional.
Then, I met him again in order to finish the transaction. And I talked to him about this problem again, that it was a crime to sell a car like this, with the odometer broken. It was an odometer fraud! He did not want to do anything. He told me that if I did not pay the $400 more, he would call the company, and they will come to take back my car. So I paid him in order to get my title, and to not loose $2200 and the car!
Moreover, a light appeared the day after the purchase. So I went to the mechanic and I paid him $200 in order yo know from where the problem was.
