I contracted for a new rebuilt engine, when they got the truck they said it needed more parts for nearly $1000. Dollars more, many of the things they were trying to charge extra for should have been included in a rebuilt engine already. The men at the company swear they are not making anything on the truck yet all the parts including the parts that should be included in the rebuild could be bought retail for less than $300.
We agreed on a small increase that was to include a smog inspection and certificate agreed to by them but when it came time to pick up the vehicle they said they had not smogged it and we would have to do that.
I told them that twice they had agreed to that and promised it would be ready, that was the only way we could guarantee the work was properly done and they said that it may not pass smog because they did not rebuild everything and that wasn't their fault if it didn't.
When i contracted them to put a new rebuilt engine i expected exactly that and a new enginge should definately pass smog with no problem. They threatened to put a lien on the truck even though they didn't complete the job and they still have the truck in their posesion.
Their bbb report states they have a pattern of this kind of behavior.
