Texas RV Center Check your list twice and hold on to your pocket book, your being ripped

In January I purchased a Montana RV from this company. I was given a walk-thru of the unit which I found to be extremely clean. It was nearly 30 degrees outside and the wind was blowing so alot of time was not spent outside. I ask questions inquiring if the appliances and air conditioner were all working and in good condition and was told that they were all in good working order that all of them had been checked out by their service department and had no problems. I noticed that the recall had not been done on the dometic refridgerator and insisted that be done. I noticed that there was not a spare tire in the rack under the trailer and the salesman said it would not be a problem. The gooseneck had to be changed to a fifh wheel and they agreed that it would be changed because they had one. I left that day to look at another RV unit near by and decided on the Montana and called Texas RV back. The salesman stated that the Rv did not come with a spare and I would have to pay for it, I refused. Knowing he was fixing to loose a sale he agreed to provide a spare. We returned two to three days later with a truck to pick up the unit. Again the salesman stated that everything was ready and the walkthru man would show us the trailer and explain how things work. I checked the hitch which had been changed, I checked the recall which was done. I ask the service man about the spare and he opened and closed the storage compartment stating he put the spare in, I looked in and a spare was in the storage. It was still in the thirtys outside but the service man stated that everything including the air conditioner was working. The salesman had the paperwork filled in and it was waiting on a signature. This is the downfall because many people do not read the fine print nor take the time to read all of the paperwork, which they count on and words are just words which can be lies. Again I ask if everything was working and in good order on the trailer and the salesman stated yes but to use it in two weeks to let them know how it works. I told him because of the weather I probably would not use it in two weeks and he said as soon as I could.in April a camping trip was taken and on trying the air conditioner it was found to blow hot air and the compressor would not work, a leak to the plumbing was found in the wall behind the shower and leaking to the ground, the spare tire that was provided had large chucks of rubber out of it and it was dry rotted. Closer inspection of the other four tires showed dry rot. The sewer pipe from the grey water tank was cracked and leaking. The fiberglass underneath the front was loose and sagging where the fifth wheel unit was. The black tank was emitting a horendus smell and the awning was full of pin holes. Contact was made with Texas RV Center about the problems. Texas RV Center said that they were not responsible for any of it because they only gave a two week guarentee and that was past. As a result I had to replace the air conditioner which cost around 600.00, replace the spare at over 100.00, repair the plumbing leak in the grey water tank and shower, replace the awning, replace everyone of the four trailer tires at over 400.00 and for several months I had to flush the black water tank which held crusted/dry sewer. A complete cleaning of the interior showed mud and filth behind ever plug switch and crevis of the RV and under the oven area the floor had buckled from apprantly being flooded. The hose to the fresh water tank was torn and the fresh water tank could not be filled. The hose had to be replaced. Texas RV Center took no responsibility for any of the repairs or replacements even though they were existing problems when the trailer was purchased. This was a costly venture due to the lies and coverups. This is FYI if you are searching out a place to buy an RV. Beware of this dealer and hold on to your pocket book, they have no reserve about misleading the consumer.
