My car was involved in an auto accident so I used Cox Collision's towing service to tow my vehicle back to their shop. First they could never give me a definite time on when my car would be ready they always kept estimating and then pushing back at the very last minuted and even then I had to be the one calling them to check the status of my car otherwise I would have had no idea.
Anyways that's the first strike, but the second and third are they stole my GPS and my installed satellite radio they even tried to steal my radar detector but figured it was too much work because that was installed too. And then suddenly their tow truck driver has a new GPS? Hm... Wonder how that happened. Regardless they did not own up to it and are not reimbursing me for my property. Even when I tried to reason with them to either get my stuff back or write a company check to pay for the stolen items. However the owner got irrate and almost tried to hit me while at the same time throwing me out of the shop.
The third strike is that this repair shop has no type of insurance or property insurance. So basically if anything else had happened to my car well then I am just simply out of luck. This issue is still not resolved, I have already filed a claim with the police and have pressed charges. I will be taking them to small claims court for the damages if they do not change their attitude or give me my stuff back.
Just as a side note I have done some research on this repair shop and I have seem to find out I am not the only one who has some bad experience. So please whatever you do do not go to this store, stay clear, tell everyone you know. It's not worth the hassle the headache or the loss of your personal property.
Just do yourself a favor and stay very far away from these crooks!
