Suburban Imports of Farmington Hills
Poor Service!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I took my Nissan Murano 2006 to Suburban Imports of Farmington Hills (37911 Grand River Ave., Farmington Hills, MI, 48335, Phone: 248.471.0800, Registration No. F124021) for an SES light being on and when filling fuel tank, pump shutting off when only ¾ full on 1/5. (The car is covered by warranty - now it’s got 29k miles). They performed a free 27 points inspection on the car. The Service Advisor Nancy M. Frasier called me after and I was told that the breaks are completely warned out (rear 5% left, front 10% left, the battery needs to be replaced, the tires are completely warned out and the car is out of alignment, total cost for repair was estimated to be around $1700) I was surprised, the car being fairly new and I denied all the repairs except the ones covered by warranty. Nissan shop called me to pick up the car on 1/8 after the gas tank was replaced and SES was fixed. I asked for the Multi-Point Inspection Report and when I received it, all the items were checked GREEN, so it looked like the car is in perfect condition. I asked the Advisor how this is possible and she apologized and modified (?) the report. (I have the original that has been modified after the fact) Few days later I found a track cover on the floor behind the driver seat. I checked and noticed that both tabs were broken. I inspected the other 3 track covers and all of them have been damaged when the mechanics replaced the fuel tank. I went back to the shop; they reordered new ones but at different color. Finally they had them installed on 1/30. Now my concern is that if the “certified mechanics/technicians” did not know how to remove the track covers, so they damaged them. They were supposed to order new ones and inform me in case they damaged event the most insignificant thing on my car. But instead they “installed” the old damaged ones, which fell at a simple touch. Very unhappy with the Nissan Shop performance, I contacted the service Advisor multiple times and she stated that she is embarrassed about the situation. I have been contacted by phone for a survey, I explained my experience and I asked if would be possible to be contacted by a manager but I had not been contacted, so I took the next step and I addressed my complains to Andrew Lietz, the Service Director. I cannot trust the work performed on my car at this repair facility (especially on the fuel tank) and I am not confident that my discussion with the Service Director will improve the current condition, therefore I am asking you respectfully if it would be possible to investigate the activity of this dealership for the safety of the costumers who are using their service, especially in the following areas: - Accuracy and consistency of the Inspection Reports (in 2 weeks interval I have 2 different reports on the same car from the same shop???)- Certification/knowledge of the TechniciansI will be available to discuss my experience with you in more detail and provide you with all the documentation that will prove my concerns. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Horea Dijmarescu248.442.1319
