InstaHeat Fuel Heaters were a known defective part, installed prior to our purchasing a 2007 Freightliner Classic XL brand new.
No fuel moves from 1 tank to engine. We have, at our cost, replaced everything from engine to tank (lines, fittings, shut-off valves, etc.) we also paid to have both tanks cut open and cleaned out. Recently, we discovered and can prove now, that 1 tank was never cut open and cleaned. With trying a different repair shop, not a Freightliner shop, we have been told that the problem all along is with these defective InstaHeat Fuel Heaters in the fuel tanks. We have had 27 weeks without paychecks, a great financial loss of over $150,000, not to mention all repairs, even those not done were paid by us. We have put over 600,000 miles on this truck running on 1 tank! If you have had an ongoing fuel problem like ours, please file a report, so we can get together and file a claim for this injustice.
