I bought a 2000 BMW 740I from Gill at CAR CHOICE MOTORS INC, Manager Gill Besimon Phone number 954-822-5913 1650 W Sunrise Blvd Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33311W this was mainly done via the Internet and the phone. First mistake was the erroneous pictures listed online on CARS.com website.
After calling and inquiring about the car, I was told that it's in good condition and purchased from an auction. I then began to secure funds for the car. I then asked for a quote on the price of the car plus shipping after I get detailed photos and a CarFax report. Gil Besimon agreed and he had someone send me pics of the car. I reviewed the photos and saw that they were all pictures of a totally different car. I immediately emailed and called and suggested to double check the email and or see if we need to call off the deal. Gil apologized and I received more pics of the right car promptly. The new photos of the car was better and I agreed to purchase the car after I received the Carfax. It took a while for the carfax after Gil suggested I purchase one myself which was odd. I received the carfax from them soon after and I secured funds and mailed the deposit for the vehicle. Gil arranged shipment for the car and I sent the rest of the funds for the car shortly after. I called one week later and he had not received any information on when the vehicle was going to be shipped. I opted out of shipping and required the funds returned for shipping after I got my friend who fortunately was visinting family in Miami the weeknd of Columbus day which was October 9- 13. My friend arrived to pick up the car on the 13th of Oct at that time we had another discrepancy because the car lot was robbed according to Gil. Which delayed the paperwork preparation for Gil to sign the e car over to my friend. Gil printed the applicable insurance and signed documents I faxed to him and promised the Bill of sale and other documents would follow soon after. The FL temporary plates that he said he installed on the car was for one month and the shipping fees was never released either.
My Friend loked over the BMW and told me of specifics over the phone and I agreed to have him drive it back to Navarre Fl. The BMW dash board was alerting of a few problems but again Gil promised that it was nothing serious and that the car had a new battery and alternator installed since it was purchased from the auction.
After getting the car back here to Navarre one week later with about only two start and drive attempt the car was dead! I drove the car twice after the drive home and now the car was obviously showing signs of hidden problems. I took the car to a BMW certified repair facility and they told me of numerous problems wit the car that should be address but that two of them were very serious and expensive for example the powerdrain issue and the drainage of coolant from the radiator. Evertyhing else was due to wear and tear which I understand. But the warning singanals the car was tryin to state thru the HUD was confirmed because the screen was scrambled at purchase and was unclear. The car is still at the repair facility where the mech is still trouble shooting th e power drain amongst other thisgs that is now costing me a lot of money I call numerous time to get a hold of Gil and or anyone related to the sale and I was only able to get Gil at night who explained that he was waiting for his documents for the Tax and Tile and plates to be prepped so ha can ship it and his hold up was the fact of the recent robbery at his business. He also stated that he would be able to secure the required documents from his home via the internet and expedite the Bill of Sale and title to me. I have waited over a month now with numerous calls to no avail.
NOW why I have a strong belief now that I saw the recent rash of google hits and problem with Carchoice motors that this place is a either scam artists of substandard sellers wit no clue of how to conduct business as a car dealership. I will be contacting Gil again and editing this report wit hfull on pics and email links to the transaction email etc. Soon If anyone has more incite on what I can do to expedite the refund of my shiipng fees and the tax title etc from this company pleas e contact mt at [email protected] please.
