Went to Freedom Motors to test drive a Toyota Camry. Was told over the phone that there were no major problems with the car. When I test drove the car, I noticed a serious steering problem with the car pulling dangerously to the left. I noted to the salesman that it pulled to the left, and I asked if it had ever been in a collision. He assured me that it had never been in an accident and that they had done a Carfax report and that there was no collision noted on the report.
Little did the salesman know that I had already done a Carfax report on the vehicle with the VIN they had posted on their web page. My Carfax indicated that it HAD been in an accident in Florida several years earlier. When I pointed out to the salesman that perhaps he should re-run the Carfax report he told me that "The car has a clean title." Fortunately I caught him in the lie and walked out of the dealership ASAP! Don't do business with LIARS! The law says if you ask them a specific question about the condition of the car they CAN NOT LIE TO YOU ABOUT IT! But they do! This is another example of dishonest sales tactics! Do not do business with such companies!
