To start i bought a 2000 Cadillac DHS from Gill at CAR CHOICE MOTORS INC, this was mainly done via the Internet and the phone. Question were asked to obtain information about vehicles over all condition, like one would expect they stayed nothing was wrong with the vehicle.
I then used a VISA card to secure the car. I then took a flight from the Midwest to MIAMI Fl. I arrived to pick up the car on the 3rd of July at that time we had an argument about the FL temporary plates that he said he did not include in the price he wanted an additional $100.00 for them because he stated he didn't know i was driving the car off the lot. He and his co-worker was told i would fly there and drive it back. Now to the Big deal i looked the car over before i took possession of it checking all the fluids looking under the vehicle and so on.
I then started my trip back to the Midwest this is about an 1800 mile trip. I had drove all the way to Illinois where the car then over heated i had it serviced at a GM dealer ship, they replace a hose and a thermostat no expensive but not cheap. I then finished my trip but notice that when i would stop at a stop light the temperature needle would move up and back down, i had called the GM dealer who fixed it and they said it could just be the fan didn't kick in no big deal. I continued to question why this needle moves, i was told if it doesn't over heat don't worry.
Then the other day 3 days ago be be exact the car starts to over heat and this make me worried but not that worried. I had purchased a extended warranty that had nothing to do with the dealership, i contacted them after a shop told me their was exhaust getting in the cooling system. I was told that it sound to be a HEAD GASKET which was not covered they cover heads but the WORDS GASKETS AND SEALS are not present in the contract. So after talking to many Automotive Techs they said it could be very possible that the dealership KNOWINGLY knew that this problem was preexisting.
NOW why I have a strong belief that they did know of the Head gasket that was out or going out is because. It took them 2 and 1/2 months for me to receive my title and in this time i had been pulled over around 10 times due to the expired temporary plate, cops yelled at me told me it was my fault so I called the FL DMV told them how long it had been they told me to file some forms and start an investigation on where my title was.
Now everyone told me to just call the dealer and i had done this over a dozen times just excuses and finally Gill told me he was working on it and IF I FILED FOR AN INVESTIGATION I WOULD NEVER GET THE TITLE. So based on all the dealers dishonest behaviors up until this point i don't find it hard to believe that THEY KNEW OF THIS HEAD GASKET.
