This company was hired to transport a vehicle across the Country. They were hired through an agent in Wisconsin who advised them that the Battery was dead because the vehicle sat for 6 months. They were advised to show up with a jump box. The trucking company instead chose to show up with nothing and to then try and jump the vehicle off of another nonexistent vehicle. Upon my direct involvement I sent some friends down to the location to assist the inept driver with loading the vehicle. The driver then proceeded to winch the vehicle onto the truck and to charge me 150.00 for the privelege of them showing up ill equiped. Upon questioning of the owner of the business as to why he charges 150.00 for winching when other towing services charge 50 dollars, he stated that it was because his fuel costs were real high. SO in reality he is gouging customers to make a little more money. Since he is "looking" to make money why not control the situation in your favor by showing up without any equipment. That's OK, I cost him at least 100 dollars in gas and labor by making his driver drive an extra 110 miles in 3 hours so that I could ramian at work making 50 dollars an hour or 150 dollars in three hours. It's a wash to me, but I think this little notation will alter his reality.
