I had previously went to a dealership before Showcase Honda because they had mistreated me. I had called Showcase Honda's 800# and ended up getting someone that I thought was a "friend" from grade school. I went there and was discouraged from buying a new car. At first, my credit was "good" enough for a new car, then all of a sudden it was not.
I was eventually talked into looking at a used car after I had been there for about 10 hours. It was extremely late at night and I could not get a good look at the car, and I stated that I really wanted to come back tomorrow and take a look at the car. I was at that dealership until 2:30am in the morning.
When I arrived, it was mid after-noon. I was pressured into buying a used car and on top of that it is a lemon. I do not know what my recourse is and that is why I am exploring other options. I am completely hurt my the way I was treated my this old "friend" They refused to let me see what the purchase price was on the car. To make a long story short I ended up paying over 18000 for a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant.
I contacted Honda Corporate and was told that they could not do anything because it was individually owned and that they would forward my complaint to Showcase honda. I have never received a response from Showcase Honda and I purchased that lemon in July and wrote the complaint a month later. I was charged twice for roadside assistance which is 199.99. When I brought it to the finance guy's attention, whose name I can not remember yelled at me so loud, that I was actually afraid.
He raised my warranty without my permission and also fixed it so that I have to pay $100 deductible everytime I take it in to be serviced. I was sold that car with bad brakes and the service light on. I was told to use my "warranty" for those things. When I tried to get the car taken care of Mitsubishi in the Tempe Autoplex tried to charge me to look at the car over $80 or more to look at the car. It was still under regular manifactures warranty.
I took the car back the nex day to get it detailed and was there for 5 hours waiting on my car to ge detailed and it was returned with extremely dirty floor mats. I had to rescheduled and drive anothe 30 miles to get that taken care of.
They also tried to make me sign a new contract, which I refused to do and asked for my vehicle back, wheich they declined. My trade in was worth over 9500 and I was given about 5000. I had about 4 men pressuring me at different times throughout the day until 2:30am in the morning.
Please do not deal with Mr. Watkins, Ricki, Igor or anyone else in the used car dept at Showcase Honda. They refused to fix anything on the car and said it was because the car was a mitsubishi.
I am still to this day having problems with the car. I ran into an old friend who told me that Mr. Watkins bragged about sucking me out of a lot of money when I bought a car from Showcase Honda. I do not know what my options are. I am totally upsude down on this vehicle and am completely unhappy.
Please do not let the same thing happen to you. Please do not shop Showcase Honda in Phoenix, Az and do not let your family and friends shop there either.
