Purchased 2007 CR-V EXL in May. Purchased at Lexus Dealership. Was informed Warranty is 3 years/36,000 miles.
Registared Car with Honda. Recently we noticed a leak coming from underneath car. Our mechanic recommeded we bring it to Honda for Warranty repair. Honda Dealership told me Warranty expired 2 months ago (July'10-this is October) Called American Honda-asked rep. About this-rep explained Honda does not notify customers when warranty is up. My car is 3 yrs. Old w/30,000 miles. Honda will only pay 40% of repair-repair costs $850.00 I have to pay $505.00 for Rack and Pinnion Steering damage. I own 4 Honda CR-V's, all 1997,1998, and 2001. All have over 120,000 miles and never had a steering problem. My newer car gets this problem and Honda will not stand by their product. I am deeply disapointed-I will never, ever, recommend a Honda to anyone who asks, and I'm getting rid of the other 4. Buy American! Hopefully they will support their vehicles better then the guy at American Honda did for me!!!
