On 08/09 I purchased what I thought was a 2000 Pontiac Grand AM. For the most part the car drove good for the first few days. One thing I found slightly peculiar was when I registered the car on my insurance policy the VIN was coming up as a 2001 model! I attempted to call the car lot about this and never was able to get hold of them.
On Saturday August 16th, one week exactly after purchasing the car I took a trip to Lexington. On the way back the car over heated and stopped running. I had to pay 300.00 cash to get the car towed back to Morehead.
I was unable to get ahold of anyone at Winners Circle as it was the weekend, so I called first thing on Monday morning and left a message with the staff explaining what had happened and requested that the owner call me back. Well, the owner called me back and left a voicemail advising me to have the car towed there.
I called the owner of the lot back this morning and he was requesting I have the car towed there at my expense and the vehicle would be fixed at my expense but give me a 'good rate.' The tow was going to cost 200!!! On top of the 300 dollars I already paid for the tow from Lexington.
This gentleman that sold me the car assured me there was NOTHING wrong with the car. The car is now at a mechanics lot here in Morehead waiting to be fixed. This is a buy here pay here lot, not buy at your own risk. These people need to be reported! They are not very ethical at all! Beware!!!
