Alvarez Lincoln Mercury
Service failure horrible consumer service ripoff

I purchased my Lincoln LS in September from your very competent sales consultant, John Challender. It is my opinion that John was very professional and extremely competent in his negotiation and sales manner. It was a pleasure being your customer.

Part 1: My car was towed in to your establishment on November 20 to fix a problem caused by your service department during a previously scheduled maintenance. I had a flat tire that I could not change, as a power tool had stripped the lug nuts.

Although I had arrived at 7:30 to wait for this minor service, I did not leave until 12 noon, as some unthinking repair tech did not have the common sense to replace the lug nuts and send me on my way he ordered this common item and waited all morning for a delivery.

I paged John after 11 am on Nov 21 and vented my frustration over my waiting all morning for LUG NUTS, not a new engine or the cure for cancer, just a common NUT. My frustration over this service was rekindled from a problem I had the night before; when, finding that neither the tow truck operator, the service station, nor myself could change the tire. I waited with my flat for approximately four hours on Main & 60E. Although I was stranded a mere 4 miles from my home & 5 miles from your facility, I did not get home until midnight, being stranded for your mechanics error and an overworked towing service.

I was so outraged that I told John that this was the very last time I would ever step foot in Alvarez again. John finally got me on my way and apologized profusely, offering me a full inside & exterior detailing a loner car that I could pick up in mere minutes upon my delivery of my car for the day.

Part 2: John stated that I would be placed on a waiting list for the loner, that I would be called soon. I stated that I was near my 20K service window, and he advised me that I had a 1K-mile leeway between service, so all would be well.

I called John two weeks ago and was told that I am next, just one person ahead of me. Two weeks ago

It has been five weeks / 2,000 miles since this horrible event and I am 1,400 over my 20,000K service.
