I went to Dunphy Nissan to purchase a Nissan Xterra... They couldn't help me so the sales person from Dunphy Nissan drove me to Dunphy Mitsubishi... I looked at a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport... At the time I had a 2000 Chevy Cavalier... The agreement was that I put $1500.00 down on and they would pay off my Chevy Cavalier...
On 12-24-02 I received a letter from GMAC stating that i owed them a balance of $450.00 and I needed to sign the title from the Cavalier so they could send it to Dunphy... How could I get financed with a balance from my Cavalier?
I called them on 12-26-02 and the person I spoke with said that was the agreement... That I would have an outstanding balance... This does not make any sense... I am 22 years old...
I am a student... How could I possibly afford this? So now I have a car payment with Mitsubishi and still owe GMAC $450.00
I also contacted Dunphy Nissan and asked to speak with the President of the companythe receptionist would not give me his nameshe said he is never there... After I did some research on the internet I found a few artilces that stated that Dunphy Nissan violated the FTC ActsWhat a bunch of scammers!
