Its funny, the consumer complaints doesnt show my post from earlier this year on JD Byrider, but I use MS Word to type & paste my reports & I spell check with it. I am posting again since JD seems to reply to all complaints here. I would like them to reply to this ONE! I want to point out their ONLY advantage over Drive Time (I think) is they report to all 3 credit bureaus.
I, too, have had problems while I made payments to J.D. Byrider over the last 3 years, but the truck I purchased is in good shape now. Some things to remember when dealing with them:
1. Their vehicles pretty much suck. They may look pretty on the lot, but I can guarantee they have bought those cars & trucks at an auction (mine was I did a carfax check & saw it was sold @ auction 2x).
2. Their warranty is a joke. DONT buy it. Its only more money for them. They make it seem the warranty is serviced by a third party but it is the dealership & there is a lot of fine print so they can weasel out of it. I discovered this when I tried to have my transmission serviced.
3. ALL agreements you sign with them are subject to arbitration. The arb agreement is structured so it will cost U lots of money to dispute it. I found out when I was considering arbitration the cost would be as much as the transmission repair! I opted for the repair, of course.
4. They DO report to the credit bureaus, but I havent seen much improvement there! All I get is solicitations for high interest auto payments (Yes Sir, I would like another!) & credit card offers with high maintenance fees! I did get a nice secured credit card thru my Credit Union, & I did not have to sign with CNAC to get it (I had a high enough income). It was MY money that got the credit card, & NOT the CNAC payments! Sorry J.D. U didnt get it all! My secured credit card has done more for me in the last year for credit improvement than they have!!! I know they will come back with a rebuttal that we helped, but where were the improvements on my credit rating during the first 2 years? Answer this one!!!
