I've been trying to get buy a "used" 2000 Lexus rx 300 with 98,000miles. I'm going through E&Y Auto Sales, I went in last Friday to check it out, got approved right away, test drove the car, put $50 deposit to hold car. Note: I'm 22years old, have no so good credit, this is my first time buying a car. The Sales person "Eddie" approved me for $9500 (at first) with 21% interest (a lot, your telling me). He said the first bank that approved me didn't want to work with him because I haven't been at my job for more than a year. So he got me approved through another bank.
Its been a week and I still do not have a car. Now "Eddie" is telling me that he's waiting on the back to submit the paper work, he keeps telling me everythings 95% done, this has been going on for a week, then he tells me the bank only approved me for $8500, so he need money down, this and that, this and that. Basically bending me over backwords from all directions.
So I've tried to stay calm about the whole situation but I'm to my boiling point. Does it really take this long to get a car? It's funny how they approved me right then and there on the spot and take my $50."Eddie" keeps telling me that he's waiting on the bank to sent him the paper work. So I asked him what bank I was getting financed through, and he told me "he couldn't tell me that information because if he gets a call from them asking why Im calling then this deal is a NO GO." Every time I call him to talk to him he puts me on hold, talks over me, talks down on me like I don't know what I'm talking about. (I've done my research, after thigs started to get fishy)
So I started asking questions, He told me I call him to much and ask TOO many questions? What? This is my first time buying a car, Of course Im going to ask questions. He's rude, arrogant, and slimy. Get this, I asked "Eddie" who the bank is that I will be going through, he tells me "First Capital", I asked where they are located and he had the nerve to tell me "he cannot disclose that information", I told him as a consumer I have every right to know. I was told I was not a consumer. Yet, they were quick to take my money!
So I had somebody call to see if they still have the car available (note: I gave them $50 to hold the car, YES I know dumb move but hey now I know) They told this guy the price of the car is $11,500 best deal in COLORADO, YA RIGHT, so the person I had call asked for the vin # to run a report on the car, and the sales person told him he couldn't disclose that information. (Hmmmm somethings wrong there) He also asked they guy the WHOLE sale of the car and he laughted and said Im not going to tell you that (isn't that against the LAW) He told the sales man "This car was a trade in, so the trade in value is $7,500 thats what I got Off of Kelly Blue Book. The "dealer" said he never heard of KBB. (He's a car salesman and doen't know what KBB is, ARE YOU SERIOUS) Hes trying to sell the car $4000 more.
Anways at this point I am done with this deal and over my head with E&Y auto sales. After I had this other person call, I called EDDIE right up and told him THE DEAL IS OVER, I WANT MY MONEY BACK, He said I need to come pick it up. And that the person that called about the car (the person I had call) was rude and he is filling a report with the police for harrassment... Lmfao... WOW, Is this how you treat your customers? A police report should be filed on E&Y AUTO SALES for a ripping people off. THE HELL WITH YOU E&Y AUTO SALES, I'm taking my business else where
