I went to SDS Auto Sales to Purchase a vehicle. I gave a deposit of $150 to hold the vehicle. I was told after giving the money if I did not purchase the vehicle than, I would forfeit the $150. I was called 2weeks later to come sign the paperwork to complete the purchase. During that 2 week waiting period. I was told the vehicle could not be picked up due to the fact there were some issues with the Truck, not passing inspection.
At that point SDS Auto assured me the problem would be corrected. I asked about the financing as to who the lender was. I was told by Stan (the owner)"that was a insider trade secret". An arrangement was finally made for me to pick up the vehicle, after I got off work. I picked up the vehicle, found out my interest was the maimum allowed by law.
I went ahead with the trade. Stan told me in about a week, the dealership would call me to ask about the purchase of my vehicle. I completed that process. One week later I get a call asking for additional information. I gladly faxed over the information.
For 7 business days I was asked to provide additional documents. Which I complied. I was told that I did not have financing and was in the approval process. At that point, I got approved by a major Automobile Dealership. When I confronted SDS auto about giving me a vehicle with out financing I was yelled at over the phone, threatend, harrassed at work by SDS Auto.
So I told SDS Auto I want my car returned, my downpayment, and I would return there vehicle. All of those terms were verbally agreed. When I went to SDS Auto to do the return, Stan was nowhere to be found. The entire lot was closed. Finally I went to the Turkey Hill 2 doors over to get paper to write a note. The cashier at Turkey Hill told me of how her parents were ripped off for $2500
I returned to the Car lot, left a note. I returned the next day. I was thrown my car title, I was told that I was not getting my downpayment back. I was threatened with a broom.
I would not recommend anyone use SDS Auto, they are absolutely horrible. It is a Father & Son Car Lot with 10 cars. You are better off going to a Large Automobile Dealership where there are higher standards and professionalism.
