I saw a commercial early one saturday morning. The commercial boasted free gas for a year. At this time with gas prices going up every week this was very appealing. We was within $2000.00 of paying off each of the suv's we owned at the time so my husband and I went into look. We both were satisifed with the suv's we were driving so when we were advised they dont have to honor the advertising we should have walked away. They were not going to give any free gas and if they did they would tack it on the end of the note. However we loved the Sorento so much we traded in both vehicles and purchased two Sorento's. Not before advising the sales rep when our next payment was due and confirming my payment would not be late. His response was they dealt with my old company all the time and he assured me that the payment would not be late and my credit would not be affected. Before we finished all the paperwork we were told ver batem by Scott Traylor that we were completly funded. I should hope so we were only there 4 hours. When I mentioned that to Mr Traylor he said the national average wait to purcahse a car was 4.5 hours. I explained I did not care about national averages I care about being there with two very tired and fussy children. His response was they had been through this many times before. So obviously no care or concern for my children or me as long as we were not bothering them. It ac curd to me as we were cleaning out our old suv's that I did not have my contract so I went back inside. I was told they would be mailed. Odd since I had purchased three other cars and a home and walked away with a contract each time. And after all I was completely funded. So I was beginning to feel that I was not doing business with the right people, however I was funded so I excepted it. That is until 10 days passed and still no contracts. So I called Mr. Traylor and inquired about this he stated that was because he was finishing up my paper as we spoke. How could that be true when I had been financed for 10 days. I asked him to provide me with names and phone numbers of my finance company's. I fully intended to call and verify my financing and he knew it.in a very rude tone he demanded to know just what I was trying to get at. So I told him the truth I am trying to catch this company in it's lie. If i was funded why had my payoff not been made? I was making a bi weekly car payment and they were quite familiar with my old car company so they knew this. They told me they had 30 days to make the payoff. I was later told during harrasing collections calls on my old suv's that the payoff amount quoted was for 10 days and we had surpassed that with no payoff being made. I was going to be turned over for collections. It progressed on until I was so fed up with all the lies and and collections attempts that I sent the old car company to reposes the old suv's. They found that the cars had been removed from the lot.in my book this constitutes car theft to take possession of and not pay for then hide the location of a vehicle. My payoff has till not been made and we have more than exceeded a month and a half and I was later told they legally should have made the payoff in 15 days. I also had to put mine in shop for vibrations under front end of car. I was told there was nothing there to cause such a thing and that they could not get the car to make the vibration and therefore could not diagnose and fix the problem. I took the car back again as this problem was still ac curing and seemed to be getting worse. They were able to get the car to make the vibrations and told me this was normal as I was driving a clutch less standard and I simply needed to engage the manual shift when that ac cured. That seems to be true however the ac stopped working a week later and they replaced the compressor. It work for an hour then stop blowing cold and the blower would not turn off. I was again advised that the problem was not ac curing for them and therefore they could not fix it. I advised them to talk to the manger Mike Murphy and either fix it replace it or release me from it. They were able to get it to blow hot an hour later and yet 12 days later my car is still not ready for pick up. The words LIAR DISHONEST RUDE don't even begin to express how fraudulent there business practices are. I am currently trying to get the local news to cover this story so this car company can be stopped before they take advantage of more people. I also discovered that the BBB holds 158 complaints in 36 months. Most of which they failed to respond to. The BBB holds this company in unsatisfactory status. I also called the Kia corp and made a complaint. I advised the lady that took the complaint that this company was ruining their name. That though I love the sorento I will forever tell everyone I know not to do business with this company.
