I recenty spent money & time to replace all the components for the brakes on my car. When finished I took it to Just Brakes so they could flush out & bleed the system. I had no idea what I was in for.
They quoted me $27.50 plus tax to do what I requested. Shortly after they started the mechanic said he wanted to show me something. He pointed out that the fluid was dark which indicated the master cylinder must have bad seals. I told him it had just been replaced & that was the old fluid which was why I wanted them to flush & bleed the system.
Some time later he came back to inform me that he bled the rear wheels but couldn't do the front ones because the bleeder valves were rusted shut. I then informed him they were new also & that was impossible. So, back to work he went.
Finally he came back & said he got one of the fronts bled but couldn't get the other.By this time I must have had smoke coming out of my ears. I told him to finish all he could so I could leave. They actually charged me over $32 for this.
When I got in the car to leave, the brake pedal went to the floor & I had absolutely no brakes at all. I had to drive about six miles home in heavy traffic using nothing but my emergency brake to stop me.
When I got home I found a neighbor to pump the brake pedal & I finished bleeding the system with no problem at all.
I went to their web site to request a method to get my money back but have heard nothing. Big shocker there!!
