I purchased a 1997 Ford F-150 in February at a local car dealer in Apache Jct, AZ. After a few months the dealer went bankrupt and transfered my portfolio to Mid-Atlantic Finance Company (MAF). When they recieved it they increased my principal amount by $1000.
I started falling behind on my payments in July. I caught up with my payments in august, in November I moved to Iowa. I fell behind on my payments again, I finnaly found a job in February. I called MAF and mad payment arrangements to get caught up again, they informed me as long as I was making payments on my vehicle they would not reposess it.
I mailed them $400 in the middle of March, and a $300 payment on April 1st. They repossesed my vehicle on the third, I called them and they stated they repossesed my vehicle because they did not recieve my payment. I called them several times after that and they would not tell me where my vehicle was located so I could collect my property from it.
They just cashed my check on June 27th because they say that I still have a balance on my vehicle, even though they repossesed it. I am going to file a complaint with the attorney general tommorow.
Every CSR I talked to at that company treated me like dirt. I want to be reimbursed for every penny I had in that truck.
