Les Schwab Tires
Bait and Switch

I bought new tires for my '96 Bronco, stating "I want tires exactly like the tires on the truck now." When I got home, I looked at the bill and was charged $50 extra for "siping". The original tires were not siped; Les Schwab put on siped tires, figuring (correctly) that most consumers don't look closely at the bill.

To add insult to injury, my buddy at work said, "Hey, you can get the same quality and same size tires at Costco, for $200 less." Ugh. I wrote both emails and snail mails to Les Schwab headquarters, and never got a response.in fact, after I sent my emails, Les Schwab removed all their email addresses from their website!

This is not the first time I've had problems with Les Schwab, but I find it ironic that they pretend "service" is their motto, when, in fact, screwing the customer seems to be number one (example: "Your car needs a four wheel alignment" for $85, when all it needed was a front end alignment for $45, which I got at Big O Tires— the only reason I didn't get conned for the four-wheel alignment, was because, after making me wait for over an hour, the tire guy came out to the lobby of Les Schwab and said, "Our alignment machine is broken." So, I went down the street to Big O, and saved $40!).
