I stopped in at my local Les Schwab to have tires installed on my vehicle. After shopping around (including at Les Schwab), I purchased tires elsewhere because the selection and prices at the local tire store were not competitive.
I drop the car off to have my tires installed. Upon getting the car back, I find myself repeatedly questioned by the service manager...
Where did you get those tires? Why did you buy them there?
Then I'm told that my bill is kind of high because I'm getting charged for things that normally would come with the tire IF I had bought tires from Les Schwab. So apparently, there are two different prices for the exact same labor at Les Schwab. Perhaps if you buy tires from them, they throw in politeness and customer service too, but don't bet on it.
