Joseph Neri Dealerships
Rip off, fraud

After selling me my first car, i was so happy that a company was able to get me financed with my chalanged credit. I had made some mistakes as a young adult, and was now trying my hardest to create a "good name" for myself. After a few months, the engine in my car went bad. I took it to both my own mechanic (i had been going to him for years) and another for a "second opinion". Well i went to joseph neri again, because i hadent even had my car a year, and it needed an engine i couldn't afford with paying my car payments. No one expects to put an engine in a car they bought from a "reputable" dealership in less than a year.

Well anyway, they rolled over my loan into an "upgraded" car. I was again very happy until... Well lets just say the dealership is not close to my home, and before i even got home the day i picked up my car it started making this horrible noise. I took it back (the hour drive up ther) to joseph neri.

After about 5 hours i was told the bushing was dry and they greased it. I didn't even pull out of the parking lot and the noise was worse. I parked the car, went in, and was told, the grease had to work its way in, it will get worse before it gets better. What a crock. I went home. A few days later, i called the joseph neri, the noise was worse, and was told to take it to a nissan dealership.

I took it to my mechanic, and was told that the linkage was bad, and that there was a bent piece of metal lodged in my wheel well. I took it to the nissan dealership, and was without a car for the first time for 5 days. I called joseph neri and told them what happened, and all they said was, glad you have a warranty. Well, a few weeks later, i took my car to the car wash. I put my key in and it spun completly around. I called joseph neri, and was told, sorry you've had your car over 30 days, call the nissan dealership, what do you want us to do.

I called the nissan dealership, they towed my car, and come to find out i needed a whole new ignition system. Again without my car for 11 days. My trunk was sticking, and i asked the nissan dealership to look at it while they were fixing the ignition. Well, come to find out, my "2006" car had been in an accident, repaired, repainted, and the trunk was mis-aligned. I had asked joseph neri for a carfax report, and was always brushed off. This should have been my first red flag.

My car now only starts when it wants to, i have had it in the garage 5 times for this, each time they need to reset my computer. I need shocks, struts, brakes, and tires due to "cupping". The repairs i need are not covered under nissan warranty. It is gonna cost me over 1000 to fix a car i have had less than a year. Each time i call joseph neri, either they tell me in so many words, they did me a favor by gettin me financed, or they tell me its not their problem call nissan, or they dont call me back. This is so unfair.

Im trying to rebuild my credit by making my car payments on time, and i dont have over 1000 laying around to fix a "certified" pre-owned car. I finally called a lawyer. I had my first meeting with her today. I have also thought about calling local newspapers and television. The kicker... I cant even trade the car in at another dealership. I know i rolled over some of the loan on my first car, BUT, joseph neri told my finance company that my car had options like... A sunroof, bose sterio system, alarm, leather heated seats, and a spoiler to mention a few. As you know this all adds value to a car. If i trade in my car that i still owe around 18000 for, i would only get 6000 for it because it has NONE of the options joseph neri told my finance company i had. FRAUD!

I even had my insurance company ask me why when they called the loan company to get the lein holder information they got information on a "totally different car than what i was trying to cover". SCREWED IS NOT THE WORD if you have had a simalar dealing with joseph neri, please comment back, maybe we can fight this FRAUD togeather. As for all others out ther, BEWARE OF JOSEPH NERI DEALERSHIPS!
