I went to Tires Plus in Richfield about 2 weeks ago to have the front right and rear left tires replaced because they both had gone flat over the holidays. My car had 1 brand in front, and a different in back. I got 2 new tires and Tires Plus said both were put in front, having rotated the good front left to the back.
12 days after replacement, I noticed the rear left tire was low again. I went back in the other night to inquire about a solution. The manager on duty tried to come up with an excuse about a rusty wheel and sealant, and scheduled an appointment for several days out.
The next morning, I realized (after the tire was nearly flat YET AGAIN)... The rear left tire was the OLD brand of tire. The rear left tire had never been replaced!
I went back in the next day to demand another new tire. The 2 women behind me in line followed me out, after the manager agreed to get my car looked at right away. Those ladies didn't come back either.
$208.50 later, the situation is resolved; I have yet another new tire, though the original front left tire was of a higher quality than the one they ultimately gave me as replacement and it only had 12,000 miles on it in the first place! Tires Plus demanded $8.50 for the extra tire (road warranty).
Tires Plus deserves an egg on its face for this screw up. Way to go, scamwads. Hope you conduct a corrective team meeting about your fraudulent practices.
