I purchased this warranty back in May of this year. Boy do I wish I knew about this sight before I did. At first they seemed to be okay. I brought my van into a small shop in August for heating and electrical problems. The owner looked over the warranty and thought that it was pretty good. They covered all work except for my deductible and I was on my merry way. The problem came this November whine my transmission started slipping. I called my little shop and he suggest a transmission dealer or even the car dealer because of the success I previously had with this company. WELL, they came they saw and they voided my warranty. I was told that because the vehicle was manufactured in Canada it voided any covered part because it needed to be certified for sale in the US at the time of manufacturing. WHY wasn't I told this when I bought it??? One thing is covered then one is not, very strange since they both cost about the same price. I has why they covered the first and was told that they didn't have to come and physically inspect the car at that time and didn't know it was made in Canada. Then another shop called them and told them it was not covered because the vehicle is VIN specific to the country. So which is it and why was I sold this warranty if it was not certified for sale in the US. Of course after about an hour on hold, (thank goodness for speaker phone!) more run around. I went to the NYS Attorney office and I am starting a claim. I was shocked today to check out the tag on the door only to find that it read "Conforms to Federal Standard in the US at the time of manufacturing. I am hoping to get some satisfaction soon. Of course I have to wait till midday and probably another hour of wait time since they are on the opposite coast from me.
