Over 1600 spent on brake system and suspension and they refuse to honor warrenty

In June I took my truck to midas to fix the brake problems I was having. I had just had surgery the end of may so I was unable to do the work myself. They replaced the entire brake system except for the actual brakes, rotors/drums, and calipers. They also found some suspension work that needed to be replaced.

I agreed to let them do this work as I was a little over 100 miles from home. I paid them and left for home. Two weeks later I was in southern oregon when my front brakes went out again (This was the origanal reason for taking my truck in to them) I called the store and was told that there was no midas down where I was so to let it cool down add some dot 4 brake fluid and try going home. I bled the entire system with dot 4 and made it home later that night.

I called the manager about bringing it in to check things out and he declined saying that the problem was fixed now. Not even a month later my wife and I were going to Portland to pick some items up and the brakes went out again. This was a sunday so midas was closed so we went to firestone and paid them to look at it. The whole front brake system on the passenger side was toasted. Firestone did not have the parts to fix it so I limped it to midas dropped the keys in the drop box and borrowed a car from a friend to go home.

The next day midas called me and told me that they would not warrenty it unless I let them do front and rear brakes and pay them I believe they quoted me 850.00. I told them that there was no reason to replace the rear brakes as that was all brand new and the front brakes were do to a faulty part that they put on.

I asked them if they even tested the anti lock porportioning valve that they had installed. I was told that they were going to do nothing unless I agreed to pay for front and rear new brakes. I asked him if they would then test the valve and was told they would not as that was not the problem. I declined and drove over and picked up my truck and had a friend help me with replacing the front brake system.

To make the story short I still have problems with my brakes and if I am towing a trailer and it is just a little wet out (sometimes even when it dry) my rear brakes lock up. I have lost count of how many accidents I have almost been in do to this. Coporate wont do a thing and the midas shop I had the work done at wont do anything. I suppose I will probably have to file suit in small claims to get any satisfaction but it is bogus that you have to even think about small claims to get anything resolved.
