In Aug. I took my pregnant girlfriends car for front brakes to the midas in San Clemente. They asked if I wanted them to inspect the rear brakes as well so I said yes (which they charged for after the fact). The day after the install when starting to drive the car some severe and loud metal on metal sounds were heard. I called and desribed it and the manager said that that's normal and to let them go for 500 miles. My girlfreind was driving (luckily on a city street and no the freeway) when the car's front brakes locked up. She then got the car towed to the Midas in Costa Mesa. The manager there inspected the car and said that they forgot to install the main bolt. I asked him to look at the back brakes and when he did he said that they needed to be replaced (another midas scam?)... I went back to Midas San Clemente and let the manager know what happened (I ONLY DEALT W / THE MANAGER RICK THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS), and he asked what I wanted. I said a refund on the labor which came to $94... It's now January and I still haven't heard a thing... Avoid them at all costs...
