I was a co-signer for my brother on a vehicle a 2006 Chevy Impala LTZ contract date 6/18. Henry Houston was the salesmen at the time of the sale. The problem was we were having issues with the dealership putting tires on the car. Everytime my brother would got attempt to speak with someone they would give him the round around and this went on for about two weeks. The monthly payment on the car is $461.99 which is way to0 much for the car and the total sale price was $27,843.89. I knew the car was over-priced but i was trying to help my brother out because they said in a years time he could trade the car back in and take me off of the loan.
I figured thats the least the could to for us since we are paying so much more than the value of the car. The Kelly Blue Book website only values the car around $13,000-$16,900 due to the mileage of over 40,000 miles. I spoke with the finance manager (Isabell) and the general manager (Chad) on the 30th of June about the tire issue. Chad told me to tell my brother to come up there the following Monday morning and they would replace the tires on the car. When my brother arrives Monday morning to the dealership Henry Houston the salesman tells him the bank (Compass) dosen't wanna do the deal anymore and tells him to return the vehicle. My brother Chioke returned the car the next morning and he even took pictures of the car when he returned it to make sure they were not any damages or anything done to the car while it was in his possession on July 3rd 2007.
Chioke receives a payment book in the mail Compass Bank on Monday July 23rd for a payment due on the vehicle. Chioke goes to the dealership the next morning to speak with Henry and he told my brother that he didn't say that concerning the bank not wanting to do the deal. We are smart enough not to turn a car in under contract without a valid reason. Chad the general manager and Isabell the finance manager acted like they were unaware of the return of the vehicle. They looked on the lot and discovered the vehicle wasn't there. My question is how can you not see a Chevy Imapala parked right in front of your building the day my brother brought it back. It seems like they are trying to make us look like we stole the car or something. Henry claimed the car was at the location up the street which is another Alford dealership.
My brother goes there and the car isn't there either. My mom went by the dealership today and Henry told her the car was at the Pittsburg, Texas location. It seems to me they are trying to act like the car was never returned and play games with us but we have proof with pictures. Now the problem is they dont wanna pay the Bank back there money untill nest Friday Aug 3rd 2007 which is the due date for the first payment. To make a long story short I would like for the dealership to pay the bank back there money so we can clear our credit of a car we don't have in our possession by the end of this week because im trying to purchase a home. I've spoken with a lawyer already so if i have to take legal action i will.
They have there car so give Compass bank there money. I have never dealt with a group of such unprofessional people in my life. I called Chad today and he didn't return my call. I've have been more than patient with this dealership. Im very very upset about this situation. I hope this issue gets resolved before it is too late. Thanks, Herman

All i want is the dealership to pay the bank their money back so this loan can get off of my credit and do it before Friday or i will take legal action.
I went to the dealership on Saturday, August 11 to see when the loan would be paid off. All the GM Chad told me was it would be this week but he told my brother that in the last week of July and it still isnt paid. So right now i have a $28,000 loan still lingering on my credit because they dont wanna send the check back to Compass Bank. The finance manager Isabel got so upset with me because i exposed how they ripoff customers that she told me to leave the dealership. I handled the situation in a professional manner i never yelled or anything during the whole conversation but i can't say she didnt yell at me because she did. She threaten to call the cops on me and stated that the dealership is private property. WOW i guess it's only private to certain people huh? (read between the lines). This is just an extra to help out other car buyers. My brother went to the Marshall Courthouse to obtain a title verication on the vehicle. I know the lady personally who owned the vehicle previously. So can anyone help me answer this question: how can the title receipt read that the vehicle was purchased for vehicle be $19,899 brand new and a year and 40,000 plus miles later be $24,883.44. Wild an increase on a decrease dont you agree? This is without a trade in or anything. Just a total ripoff i got the docs to prove it.
