A payment behind from the start? Ripoff

When we bought our car from CarMax in late September, we were told that the first payment with Drive Financial wouldn't be invoiced for another month because we purchased at the end of the month. This was actually true, and we received our first invoice a month later, due on November 5th.

As it turns out, Drive sees that as being a payment behind, and looks at it this way on your account. They also tell you that if you mail in a check instead of using the costly phone or wire payment that it takes longer to post, and that it will appear as a late payment on their log.

How is that possible? I also HATE the online payment, where you cannot make partial payments - and this seems to be true as well on the phone with their "customer service" reps. And i use that term very lightly. I've been continually harrassed with one or more calls a day from their 800 number, an unidentified long distance number, and more than at least ten to fifteen times a day from an "Unknown" number.

My last resort is to just try to get my car refinanced or traded in, and hopefully NEVER deal with this company again. I even spoke to the dealer at CarMax who sold us our car, and he said that they have had so many problems and complaints from customers about Drive that they no longer use them, and that Drive may no longer be able to operate in my state! They are simply AWFUL!
