Bill Holt Ford - North Georgia Ford
Ripoffs dishonest poor business practices

On Friday, Dec. 15 I traded my '03 F-250 for an '06 F-250 Diesel, it had 28533 miles. I drove it all week-end, all the gauges were acting crazy, they told me to bring it in on Monday, Dec. 17. They checked it out, the engine was running low compression on 3 cylinders and the EGR cooler was bad. They repaired the EGR and said they would have to install a new engine, they wouldn't be able to get me in a rental until Jan. 2nd, Enterprise wouldn't have anything till then. They tried to put me in a COMPACT CAR, hello, I bought an F-250 because I needed an F-250. On Jan. 19th they finally completed the install. On Jan. 22 I took it back a mount and bolt that attached the body to the frame was stripped. On Jan. 29 they replaced a bad fuel injector. On Feb. 1st they replaced sensors. On Feb. 9th they replaced the computer. On Feb. 17th I repaced one of the batteries, I was stranded. On Feb. 22 they replaced more injectors and the other battery. On Feb. 27th I had to have it towed back to the dealership.

They traded me for a new '07 F-250. They made me take a $7876.41 loss. When I traded the '03 I was only upside down about $1400.00, plus I paid $1500.00 down and 2 payments of $736.00. Total loss on a truck, I may have put 2K miles on and drove maybe 7 weeks out of 10, was $10848.41. How's that sound for business practices?

While in the rental, that I couldn't pull a trailor with, I had a young UNREGISTERED colt that decided he was ready to breed, bred two of my WELL REGISTERED MARES, when breeding season rolled around they wouldn't take my WELL REGISTERED STALLION, because they're already bred. I COULDN'T move the colt, I had to run someone down that I could borrow a truck from (after spending $40K for my own truck) and he tore down the fence line, that I had to repair later.

I got screwed and didn't even get kissed. They could care less, and I'm still trying to get refunded for the $65.00 tow bill. I did have emergency road side service, which is a joke as well, I tried to use it twice. I haven't even tried to get the cost of the battery back.

Then there's the EXTENDED SERVICE PLAN, I paid $884.00 for, worked into my payments. The board in the service dept. Says the 5 point inspections cost approx. $450.00 and you get 4, $884.00 sounds good, right. NOT, I took the new truck in, different dealership, for the 5 point inspection that was to cost $450.00, they changed the oil & filter and sent me out the door. I called Ford Corp., I took it back the next day and got my point inspection.
