Fraudulent billing, nightmare, incompetent

My dad was sick for two months in the hospital and during that time WELLS FARGO repoe'd his car. I stepped in and paid the repo fees in full via a cashiers check and western union which brought the account current. I have personally walked into the bank and made every payment since repo yet the bills continue to come in reflecting the full balance that was due prior to repo. I called each month and told them of the problem and they said that the "bills need to cycle out and not to worry about it and to continue to make the scheduled payments until the account cycles out". I have done that.

My fathers phone and my work phone have now been placed on what they call "the dialer" and they are demanding payment in full. I have faxed them in the copy of the western union cashiers check, each and every cashed check for each month I have paid the account since then and the receipt from the bank from when I paid it. They say that all of those payments have been "reversed" but and that the money is still due.

I told them that I bank with Bank Of America and the funds werent reversed back to me and that I have faxed them copy of all the payments. They said it doesnt matter and that the account has been audited and that the account must be brought current or they will repo again and the only way to get the car back after the second repo is to pay the ENTIRE loan balance in full (over 20k).

They have forced me to give my checking account number to "buy time" until they figure out the mistake otherwise the sytstem will initiate the repo and I will be stuck fighting them without the car and liable for the full ammount of the loan. They said their Lost Payment department is short staffed ant that it is up to me to go to the bank where I made the payments and find out why the payments were reversed back to the bank.

Why should I do their leg work just because they're short staffed??? Their people are the most awful obnoxious nightmare people to speak with. They yell and scream and demand and hang up on you. I cant imagine how in the hell they get away with the way they talk to people. There have been times that I've called and they yell "WELL IF YOU PAID YOUR BILLS THEN YOU WOULDNT HAVE THIS PROBLEM WOULD YOU" and hang up on me.

They have called my work, my fathers home and my cell phone starting at 8:01AM each and every day. They YELL that if I dont put my father on the phone that they have someone waiting outside his door and that he will be arrested for theft. I am near the point of tears as I have jumped through all of their hoops, I have paid all the money due but nobody at Wells Fargo understands or even cares and I dont understand what I can do or where to turn for help.
