I have been making payments by phone on my car loan for over 18 months, until Wells Fargo informed me that 4 payments totalling over $2,200 were returned NSF by my bank. Upon investigating, I found that indeed, the payments were initially returned NSF... (I work in the car business, commision income only, some weeks $300, some weeks $1,500)
But, they were all re-submitted and PAID! I have faxed copies of my bank statements 4 times over a period of 2 months, and all they can do is tell me the money is still in my account (The bank has verified the amounts are paid, and the account number reference is correct)
They are calling me up to 15 times a day, will not let me talk to their internal audit group, and are trying to repo the car. I ask to talk to supervisors, and no one has any power to investigate, they tell me to pay the money again, then they will "look into it".
Anybody else been here, or is this just my nightmare?
