Complete Caos... With my vehicle loan through Wells Fargo

My husband and I bought a truck in February of this year. This loan had to be broken into two separate loans due to negative equity from our previous vehicle. One loan is the smaller loan and one loan is a larger loan.

In September we woke up on September 20th to realize that our truck was gone. We called the police to report it stolen and the police department notified us that it was reposessed! After being transfered for around 1.5 hours on phone call transfers with Wells Fargo Auto Finance trying to figure out why our truck was reposessed since I had just sent in a payment a week prior for extra we were told that our vehicle was reposessed because we were $38.81 behind from July. I explained to the Man on the phone that there is no way possible that I would make a payment for that much less and he did not care.

We then were instructed that if we wanted our vehicle back that we would have to go into a Wells Fargo Branch Office to get a cashiers check for the amount of; One vehicle payment, (because they were holding the payment I had sent since it was there one day late) All late fees and Reposession fees (which were around $500.00 alone) and the cashier would have to call the repo company to verify that they had cash in hand and then they would give us address of where to pick up the vehcile. We of course did this the same day since we could not go one day without that vehicle.

Since then, we have received calls every single day, 7 days a week from Wells Fargo Auto telling us that we are behind on payments. We have to keep telling them that we were not behind on anything and explain the repo to them as well as payment. I then decided to look into the entirity of the loan and every single payment we had made. With copies of every check that had been cashed as well as Statements I discovered that Wells Fargo had both of our loans completley and utterly a mess! They were applying payments and then unapplying payments, applying the wrong amounts to the wrong loan and charging us late fees all along the way. I also discovered that we were never $38.81 cents behind on the larger loan.

We have been dealing with them for over 2 months now and no one can seem to get this right. I am finally now working with the Branch Manager at our local office to help us figure this out. I now also, have to take both loan payments into a branch office every month and make sure the cashier applies the payments to the correct loans and I have to get a receipt for both to ensure that they are applied correctly.

Our credit is completley ruined since they have reported our repo to the credit companies as well as 3 payments 90 days late or more and 2 paymenst 60 days late or more when in fact we had no payments 90 days late and no payments 60 days late so therefore we do not even have the option to get a loan through anyone else! I could go on and on with what else they have messed up with our loan but this is the main part of our troubles.
