Planet Nissan Dealership
Unprofessional, dishonest, manipulative, disregarded person's neurological impairment, vindictive, greedy ripoff

My son has a neurological impairment from a work accident. When stressed he is easily talked into helping people. He has had trouble working due to the problem.
On 1-25-07 he was talked into buying a car at Planet Nissan. When I found out about it I got the car back and tried to return it.

The next week he was laid off from work. I tried to explain this to the dealership several times in person and on the telephone with no success.

I went out there once with the car and left it. While I was sitting there they delayed me with different ones talking to me while they went in the back office and tried to get a bank to finance it. Then came out and said it is financed there is nothing you can do but keep it. I left the car there and by time I got home 2 hours later it was sitting in front of my house. I received 7 letters from loan places denying the loan. After about 4 weeks they finally got WFS Financial, now known as Wachovia Dealer Services, to accept the loan without verifying employment.

When WFS bank was reached on the phone and I told them he had not been working since January and how could they accept a loan from a company without verifying the information. They could not give me an answer. At this point my son will have to turn the car in as a repo.
He remembers the salesman telling him 16,000 dollars for the car, but when we got the paperwork it was over 21,000. They never recieved a paystub from him. Their information for his job came from a business card for that company.

I have 4 messages on my answering machine telling my son to call that they could not finance him because of his unemployment.

WFS Financial (Wachovia Dealer Services) took the loan without asking any questions.

When I asked Planet Nissan and WFS Financial how they could sell a car and finance a car without verifying employment. Their answer was he wrote it down, which at the time he wrote it he had the job. Both companies said this is not our problem. We are here to sell cars and finance cars and get our money. I have written to Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Affairs, International Trade Commission, Nissan Cooperation. Everyone puts the information in their file but does nothing. So I have had to take it to a personal level.

I did not even ask for the 1,500 dollar down payment back. I just ask them to take the car back. They have no regard for his mental impairment or the fact they lied to him and took advantage of him. Their only concern was how much money they could make off him.
