I just had my truck washed at the McKinney Qwikwash and it came out scratched. I tried to explain this to the guy working on it and he did not speak english. I then ask to speak to a manager. That he understood. I spoke to a guy who did not give me his name. I showed him the damage. He said it is not possible for the machine to damage the truck. He offered to take me around and show me how the machine worked. I am not an expert on car washes, so this would do no good. I told him I did not say the machine damaged the truck, but the damage happened at the car wash. He told me it did not and asked me if there was anything else he could do for me. I told him that I would turn it over to an attorney. He said fine and walked away. Oh yes, he also thanked me for coming in. Very rude and very insulting. I then went in to the building and ask another person for something with contact information on it. He asked why and I told him it was because my vehicle had been damaged. The first guy came out of the office at this and said he was already just getting me a card to give to me attorney. A complete lie. He then led me outside and told me to wait for him there. He went around the building and came back with a card and again thanked me for coming in. I assume this persons name is Don Jacobs. This is the name on the card. He is very rude. There are a number of things that acount for the damage including the number of times my car was driven around the parking lot (3) and the rough handling by the employees.
I then tried to find contact information for the company. Not much out there. I sent an email from the web page. I then started looking on the internet for other people experiencing problems. I found this site and thought I would add my report to a company that is getting a bad reputation.
I just want my truck fixed. I am not trying to get to the company. I do not appreciate the rude attitude of the manager that I spoke to either.
I have contacted my insurance but I have not filed a claim yet. I was hoping they would take care of their mistakes in an ethical way instead of trying to avoid their responsibilities like your manager.
I also want my $29.99 back for the car wash.
