Rude people and wanted to charge late fees when I had automatic payments

I had automatic withdraw payments and the last 3 months they was not taking the payment out and then would call and want to charge me a late fee of $10.95

What is the point of having automatic payments? Then he wanted my Bank info and I said you have had this for 1 year and we just went through this last month and the month before. He asked me if I was refusing to pay, and I said I would not pay any late fees for your mistakes
