After a year of carrying my loan with Triad, I unfortunately expericenced more bruises in my credit. Trying to find contact info, I came across many of the posts with people's experiences with them. It really got me concerned with what I had gotten myself into.
All of the 'bad' experiences I was receiving from them at that time, I contributed to my own handling of the situation. I do not think that they did anything out of the 'norm'.
After another year, to year and a half, my credit & employment situation had turn around. I was able to refinance my vehicle through my credit union, less then half the APR, will be repaid 6 months sooner and a lower payment than I was paying.
Now almost 6 months after payoff, the credit union has not received the title (as requested above endorsement area of payoff check), nor has it been released to me.
I am now getting letters from my credit union stating that if they do not receive title showing them as the lien holder, my loan will have to be converted to an unsecured loan (so much for saving money!).
If you are not already involved with triad financial - stay away!
