Oh, the drama that was involved in the dealings with this fradulent company. The condensed version: Triad financed a vehicle for my father and I, after the temporary plates expired we had trouble registering the car... Got the runaround but magically a registration sticker appeared... A year later same problem, same outcome... The next year we couldn't get the car registered at all, called Triad on numerous occassions and no help, just rude phone reps, talked to different people - same result. Went to the local tax office, where we found out the car had a LIEN FROM A DIFFERENT FINANCE COMPANY - TRIAD WAS NOT EVEN LISTED ON THE REGISTRATION, CAR HAD BEEN REGISTERED TO PREVIOUS OWNER THE ENTIRE TIME WE OWNED IT.
Contacted Triad about this, Triad accepted no responsibility, offered NO ASSISTANCE *as usual*. Basicly they financed a vehicle they had no title to, so we stopped making payments due to the fact that they could never make good on their obligation to present title at completion of loan. We took steps and eventually got the title in our own name, after contacting the OTHER LIENHOLDER and previous owner. We attempted numerous times to give the information regarding the steps needed to obtain title and all they cared about was "where is the payment" and making threats. After we obtained title, Triad repoed the car, now they want 8 grand.
PLEASE, these business practices were criminal and if there truly is a class action lawsuit in the works, WE WANT TO BE INVOLVED. We have documentation of the registration issues, release of lien for previous lienholder, statements from previous owner, etc. This company has got to be dissolved! We will NEVER FINANCE ANOTHER VEHICLE, period. Cash only.
