Voided my new tire warranty by writing "needs shocks and alignment" on work order, ripoff

I purchased 4 new truck tires at Wal Mart 09/08/05. Returned on 07/28/06 to have tires rotated. After waiting an hour I was told by an associate, in a loud condescending voice "You need an alignment, your warranty is void, sign here". I said "Bull".

Apparently on 09/08/05 when I purchased the tires the "genius tech" who installed the tires wrote on the Service Order form that my truck needed shocks and front end alignment. I was not told this and was not shown this written on the work order. If my truck needed this work why did the "genius tech" install four new tires. Since this was written on the work order my warranty was voided the minute the tires were installed.

The tire manager was not on duty so the clothing manager accompanied me to the tire dept. And was told by the tech. On duty "that it was unsafe to rotate my tires from the front to the back". Later that day I called the tire dept. Manager and he upheld the actions of the tech.

I called 1-800-Walmart, spoke with associate Phizer who said she understood what they had done was not right and her superior would call me back in a few days. I waited 9 days, heard nothing, called again, talked to Jenny. She said there was a record of my first call and upper management would call in a few days.

Waited 32 days altogether. A "district manager" finally called. His only commet was "you signed the paper", "you signed the paper". The only thing I signed was the Disclamer to give Wal Mart permission to install the tires and the Discover Card receipt. These two items were folded together and placed in an envelope and handed to me.

Beware, if you buy tires at Wal Mart make sure you open the envelope and see if anything is written in the "Technician Comments" section on the work order. I spent $431.97 for tires whose warranty was void the minute they were installed.

I no longer shop at Wal Mart or Sams Club.
