I have 17,000 miles on a set of Douglas Tires purchased and installed at Wal-Mart. They are now visiblly warped and out of round. I began getting vibrations at highway speeds and pulling to the right.
I had them checked at 2 tire stores before retuning to Wal-mart to have them all or one replaced under warranty. I was informed that even though the sign with the price below the tires says 40,000 mile warranty, because I did not purchase the optional "Road Hazard Warranty" there was no warranty at all, unless I wanted to fight it out with the Mfg. (in China).
I was told that all they could do was rebalance the tires which now have 2.5 - 3 oz of lead each and see if that would fix the problem. It didn't. I still have vibration and pulling. The tires are crap and so is Wal-mart.
I say I will never buy anything from Wal-Mart again and I think this time I mean it.
