Why you should never lease a car:
They will get you on what they consider "excess" wear and tear and overage in mileage. You are better off buying. I was an intern at the time of leasing the car—that is what I could afford—I would have been better off buying a older or cheaper car rather than leasing a new one which I am still paying for eventhough I don't drive the car any longer.
I paid this company over what the car is worth in the four years I was leasing from them. The ungrateful company now wants me to pay for dents, cracks and scratches that are almost invisible and some that are visible—however, all are "normal" for a car that has been driven for four years-. When I called the dealership (Van Nuys Volkswagen). They told me as long as I lease another car from them. I would not be responsible for these charges. It is their way of sticking it to you again and again.
They make me sick. They are charging me over two-thousand dollars in overages after I have paid them on-time for four years. They have already made enough of of me. The customer service people and managers are not even listening to what I have to say. They tell me that is the contract and that is that. What a great way to assure that you will have return customers! Don't ever every do business with Volkswagen Credit!
