Nationwide wouldnt pay up BIG FLOOD, BIG RIP OFF

In Febuary We had a Flood like none other in Florida! It started raining till it flooded everything! At the time I had full coverage insurance with Nationwide. (Everybody knows about the insurance crisis in Florida!) Anyway. I quickly filed a flood claim. I had a perfectly well maintained new car pror to the flood!

The whole problem started when I called to file my claim!

I called the claim number and gave them all the details and blah blah that I need to give them... I was assured by the customer service that an Adjuster would be out promptly to asess the damage. A week went by, no show, no calls.By the way. I had no car to go to work and it was still sitting where it flooded. Full of mold and smelled!
Wait, it gets worse!

So I was persistant and kept calling. Finally the Insurance company said that they would notify the dealership/body shopp to send a tow truck to pick it up (it wasnt running obviously) and take it to the dealer where it would be looked over and repaired. So I went to work. (most expensive cab ride ever!) I called the dealer they had no knowledge of this! So the dealership after hearing my ordeal was nice to send one.

The Adjuster finally called me. He said I would have a check in the mail within a weeks time. No check! Weeks went by. Then months...

Bottom line here is folks, that I waited 4 months to get my insurance check, I was persistant called everybody, everyday! Paid a rental car out of pocket (oh thats another story about them)$150.00 towing bill, close to 3,000.00 in out of pocket repair expenses and was only reimbursed for $450.00 of it! Oh yah I had a 500.00 deductable.

Oh I would like also to mention that the "adjuster" told the dealership to put the SAME moldy, non cleaned carpet back into my vehicle! Yah and I suppose he is a mechanic, and has xray vision. Cuz without even looking at the car said that the engine had no water damage. The service department had to call me and tell me that they found salt water in my carberator! That the whole asessment was boguss!

There is much more to this than space to write here. So If you want more details Ill gladly giv ethe whole speal.By the way I was told by an auto-tech that repairs flood vehicles for Nationwide... What I heard shocked and enraged me!

So dont go Nationwide!
